By way of introduction, we are a husband and wife team from New York's Hudson Valley. In 1999, we came to build our home in Roatan and have never looked back. Through our experience and interaction with others, we discovered the need for a competent, reliable property management service. Thus, Roatan Property Management was formed in 2001. As the island has grown, we have slowly built our business managing homes for absentee homeowners starting with Parie House, which was one of the earlier homes on the island offered as a vacation rental. We still manage Parie House as well as another home the owners bought in 2006. RPM’s growth has been steady and all by word of mouth based on our reputation.
Our background and experience have been a natural fit for managing and maintaining homes and assisting visitors select the property that best suits their needs and desires. Many years of living on Roatan have given us the insight on how things work and do not work; and to know the best maintenance people to handle any problems that may arise in a professional and timely manner. Before moving to Roatan, Stella owned and operated a residential and commercial cleaning service in Garrison and Cold Spring New York for 15 years. Fran published tourist guides in San Francisco California and New York’s Hudson Valley, worked in real estate in Cold Spring, and as a project manager for a Nursery and Landscape Contractor in Kauai Hawaii.
