Casa La Quinta Sur

This property has so much to offer. Location is off the main island road and is minutes away from busy West End and not far by car to beautiful Bay End yet you have what seemed like your own private bay. There are so few houses in the Bay that you seem completely remote but you can walk to a great coffee shop and Indian restaurant. We floated in the bay every day off the 2 story dock and star gazed at night at uninterrupted constellations. This is an private multiple acre compound with 2 Bay front houses. This house is fronted by a postcard framing of palm trees looking out onto the ocean. The main space is open and airy with little need of AC though it is available and works well. There ia a view of the bay from every inch of the house. Both bedrooms are full master suites with a gorgeous deck off both and a hammock in the screened in porch off the main master. The loft is spacious with 2 beds. We used the screened in front porch every night with tropical breezes and new fans keeping you cool. There is an additional apartment on the gound floor with full bath, large bed and sleeper sofa if you want to expand your party size with a private space of their own. The kitchen is well appointed and there is plenty of purified water provided. We took full advantage of the provided kayaks and did an easy paddle to the dolphin enclosure and watched the show for free and also visited the mangroves right next door. Roatan Properies were very responsive to any questions and checked in on us often. There are numerous dive shops minutes away and many of the best dive sites are visible from the front porch. This tranquil beauty is a slice of heaven on a beautiful island worth exploring.

Great place, great view with all amenities. 20 min walk from West End. Nice dock and view on the bay, Very shallow and lots of weeds. But great for kayaks.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay and only 1 mile from the restaurants and nightlife of the west end. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and the bed is very comfortable. There is also air conditioning in the office which has a pull out sofa bed for extra guests. There is also a loft with two futons for extra sleeping arrangements. The loft is accessed by a very steep ladder. There is also a second home available on the property if you have a large group. The home and grounds are maintained beautifully.

Unbelievable experience. Sitting on the patio watching the open ocean with small tourist boats passing by. The house is very quiet. Just take the kayaks and do your own private snorkel. The house was very well equipped. You just have to bring your own shampoo. The bed is very comfortable. Like everywhere on the island there are sand flies and mosquitoes at the house. The bats and geckos are doing a great job with the bug. Unfortunately you still need your bug spray. We did not use the A/C. There was an ocean breeze and the fans were efficient enough. For our transportation needs we rented a scooter to zoom quickly into West End and back.

Very nice rustic cabin, it has AC but only in the bed rooms so the rest of the house needs to be open with the fans in to stay comfortable. The outside deck has breathtaking mornings and afternoons. Insects are kept at bay by 20 or so bats that live on the roof of the deck, they make a bit of a mess but really do their job on the insects. If you want to fish the guides can pick you up at the dock which is nice, the kayaks to the reef there’s actually 4 kayaks there to use are great.

We loved our stay. The house had everything we needed. A great view, comfy bed and awesome shower (which are hard to find on Roatan). We were minutes from Octopus dive school, which made it easy for our daily dives. We will be back next year.

The house is very comfortable. Rustic, but clean. Nice Caribbean cottage feel. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars on location is that the water out front is not great for swimming and snorkeling. The management company is great to work with and the people on the island are very welcoming.

Fantastic house to be close to everything but quiet and without noise. The dock is great to have the first coffee in the morning, to do yoga,… There are also a Thai and Indian restaurants and a bakery near the house. A good option to have a quiet dinner at home.

We enjoyed hosting Bernabe and friends. They were great guests. Communication was very good, and they’ve followed all house rules. They took good care of the property while they were there. Your suggestions have been noted!!! I highly recommend them.

My 2 girlfriends and I spent a week here and we recommend it highly. The house has breathtaking views, a lovely layout, beautiful grounds, excellent security and easy access to West End Village. We especially loved the privacy and the cottage-like feel of the location. The water is a few meters away and very clean but it has a grassy/muddy sea floor which can be avoided by using the dock. Strong swimmers can even reach the coral reef not too far away. Hosts arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us to a grocery store before dropping us home which was very convenient. We did not have a car but at the end of the long drive is the main road where cabs and buses come by every couple of minutes and are super cheap. The management team is easily accessed and extremely friendly—they even provide a local cell phone for their guests. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I am already planning to come again with my family.

Lovely quiet location, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay if you enjoy peace and quiet. Well maintained, though a bit dated. While you can swim just off the pier the water is shallow and sand is not pleasant to stand in. But nearby beaches are easily accessible.
