The Perfect Getaway

No better way to start the day than having my coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean and enjoying the most gorgeous sunrises. And to fall asleep listening to the waves was a heavenly escape from the Canadian winter! With the high ceilings and wood finishes, you can enjoy the island vibe in this well maintained and fully equipped home; choose to create your own great meal at home or go out to one of the many great restaurants in the area. I loved them all! Along with the food, you’ll find the most amazing beach, stores and many other activities are all within walking distance. Cooling off closer to home is easy with the community pool conveniently located across the street, where you can relax and enjoy the views from an even higher elevation. Everyone was friendly, helpful and I felt very safe the entire trip. I have definitely added Roatan and Casa Marchele to my list of places I want to return to!

Beautiful Home in Private Community

I just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Marchele in Roatan. Located in Turtle Crossing, a small, private community this property overlooks the ocean and has spectacular views of the ocean and the mountains of the mainland. The grounds are immaculately maintained by landscapers and there is 24 hour security but I never felt unsafe. This gorgeous home is conveniently located with lots of restaurants and ocean activities located just across the island...about a 10 minute walk. Michele is an exceptional hostess and is quick to respond to any questions or issues (I had none). I highly recommend Casa Marchele!

Thank you very much for making time to give us your feedback. We appreciate it!

Exceptional Stay

Felt like I was paradise once I walked up the stairs to see the enormous ocean view with mainland Honduran mountains in the distance. Not only did this property have an enormous deck , there is also a hidden deck once you walk down the path to the ocean. You can wave to the people on the dive boats passing by. This home is entirely Caribbean living. Original wood floors and walls. Two freshly painted glassed in patios for enjoying breakfast, dinners, coffee, and drinks. The AC is extremely adequate. It is adveritsed as AC in both bedrooms and if you simply follow the instructions that the owners have left, you will be cooled off in an instant. The tradewinds were strong when we were there which instantly cooled off the entire house. We did not rent a car as West bay beach is right over the hill and there are steps you can take to get there or simply walk to the end of the road. A short cab ride will do as well. It is a very safe area. The pool is across the street from the front of the house, go explore.
This house had all the conveniences of home with a great island vibe.
We will definitely return.

Amazing ocean view!

Hosts are amazing and communicative. That was great. For the house though be forewarned, it’s hot. The coolest places in the house are the two enclosed bedrooms. They have AC, and it takes a while for the AC to cool down the room. Then it’s just a game of maintaining that. The rest of the house is humid and you will sweat, but that’s too be expected near the water/shoreline in a older home. The high ceilings add to that heat index. The positives are the house is well stocked with everything you’d need during your stay and short walk away from the town of West Bay. If that’s the area you prefer to stay in there’s no need for a car. If you have trouble ascending and descending steeper hills though you may want a car/taxi. Kitchen is open and dining area is screened in. This made for some amazing dinners and dining with the water in the view. Overall it’s a decent house that is just a little hot, but if you’re sleeping in the enclosed bedrooms there’s no issue. Property managers are quick to respond and help with any queries and recommendations. And their driving staff is quick, efficient and speak English if Spanish isn’t your thing. Overall recommend this location if you can handle the heat. Views are stellar from most rooms onto the ocean.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review and for sharing your experience with the world. Your private feedback is noted. Again we are sorry for the inconvenience at the beginning of your stay, but we are glad to know that you enjoyed and loved the house. You are welcome back anytime!

Magnificent view

Had a fantastic time at Casa Marchele. A large beautiful ocean front home with all the amenities to make for an easy vacation. Nice king size beds with ensuites in both bedrooms. Being an early riser I was able to enjoy my coffee every morning on the deck watching the sunrise and the cruise ships coming in. Then watch the cruise ships leave in the evening while having dinner in the screened in dining area or on the deck with a beverage.
The kitchen was fully equipped with all appliances and we were pleasantly surprised to find four 5 gallon jugs of water. We eventually found out that a water supply truck comes by a few times a week and jugs of water were only $1.50 and they bring them upstairs right into the kitchen!
It was a quick walk to West Bay beach, the West Bay mall and a number of great restaurants.
Having access to the full laundry room, free wifi and the bluetooth stereo were also an added bonus. I went home with a suitcase of clean clothes and I could listen to all my own music while I was there.

We had a really nice experience hosting Lynne. From the beginning, the communication was pleasant and smooth. When they arrived, they proved to be really excellent guests. We are grateful for their visit and hope that they will come back in the future. Thanks!

Great place!!

I stayed at Casa Marchele in January with a friend of mine and his family. The house was much larger than the pictures, there were five of us and there was more than enough room. I personally loved the BBQ on the lower patio, I spent a few evenings barbecuing dinner for everyone. The bar on that patio is great for getting out of the sun or the rain and having a beer or two while looking out at the ocean.
We walked to West Bay everyday and it only took about ten minutes
I am hoping to be back at Casa Marchele real soon.

Beautiful ocean front home

Stayed in Casa Marchele for a girls week and we had a fantastic time! The house had more than enough room for the four of us and all the modern conveniences you could ask for....except a dishwasher. Sitting on the deck every morning and enjoying the million dollar view is something I really miss. I looked forward to watching the cruise ships come in and sipping on my coffee. Also sitting out at night and watching the cruise ships leave and looking up at a night sky full of stars. Air conditioning in the bedrooms made for a great night sleep or keep the windows open and fall asleep listening to the waves crashing along the shore. The neighborhood is very quiet with a great pool and a short walk to West Bay beach once you find the short cut. Head right from the front of the house and go through the field at the end of the street. Follow the tire tracks up the small hill and through the trees, there you will find a driveway that takes you to the main road, walk across the road and head straight down Emerald Beach road. 12 minute walk at the most from front door to beach.
I would definitely recommend Casa Marchele and I am hoping to return sometime in the near future.

Thank you Sharon, so happy to hear about your stay at Casa Marchele. looking forward to hosting you again!
