Seaside House

Great seaside house in a great location! Big beds in nice rooms with awesome showers! Cook up an easy breakfast and watch the gorgeous sunrise from the upstairs deck? Check! Have an afternoon siesta and /or drinks in the shade of the downstairs patio? Check! Snorkel from the gazebo 50 (?) Meters away? Check ! Obviously the water needs to be calm...but if the breeze is up, it's only a few minutes over to West Bay Beach and there's more fantastic snorkeling! Honestly , the fish are swimming by while you're in 3 feet of water trying to get your fins on! You want to hang by the pool instead of the beach? It's lovely, with beautiful overhanging flowers, a nice deck and gazebo about 50(?) Meters/yards away! At night we went and watched some live music in West Bay and being Canadian, imagine my surprise finding a great bar in West End showing 2 NHL playoffs games on big screens! If you want to have a quiet evening just stay home and enjoy looking out at the ocean or go for a peaceful walk to enjoy the night sky. Oh yeah, I've never seen black iguanas before...they seem to like the pineapple we threw to them. Great spot, and we want to go back!

Thank you for such great review, we hope to have you back soon!

Exceptional Experience

This property is gorgeous with an exceptional view of the Carribbean Sea and the mountains of Honduras in the background on the beautiful sundeck where we enjoyed the refreshing Tradewinds watching cruise ships and diving boats daily. We were there the week April 1-8 and it was an exceptional experience. The house was clean and cozy with a large kitchen with modern amenities and pantry. The bedrooms were large with a King bed, plenty of closet/storage space, beautiful private showers and spacious bathrooms. We ate breakfast and some lunches/dinners in the screened-in dining room overlooking the water (We took the shuttle to Eldon's to pick up groceries/ice). During the day we relaxed at the Turtle Crossing community patio and pool which is a short walk across the road or drove/walked the short distance to West Bay where we swam/snorkled in the pristine water and sunbathed on the white sand ( I had a massage on the beach one day !) enjoyed shopping and lunch at the many retailers and restaurants, while at night we would take a water taxi to West End to have dinner/drinks and take in a band at a bar. The evenings back at the house were so peaceful, quiet and cool thanks to the Trade winds. A wonderful time in a fantastic place. Looking forward to vacationing here again, Strongly recommend Casa Marchele!!

Had an amazing girls getaway the first week of April at Casa Marchele. This home is beautifully decorated and has a gorgeous ocean view. Loved sitting on the large deck to watch the sunrise or the cruise ships going by. Very spacious house with 2 large bedrooms with very comfortable king size beds, a loft, 2 bathrooms with large walk in showers and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. It's a very short walk to the pool that has many loungers, a gazebo with tables and chairs and a stunning view. Very close to West Bay Beach where there are many restaurants, shops and amazing snorkeling. You can also hop on a water taxi to West End for more restaurants and shopping. The house is part of The Turtle Crossing Community which is very peaceful and we felt very safe going for walks to explore the beautiful area. I highly recommend staying at Casa Marchele, will definitely be returning!!

We absolutely loved our week at Casa Marchele. The house itself is beautiful. Lots of space, fantastic views of the ocean, wonderfully decorated with large principal bedrooms with king beds, each with its own nice bathroom and large shower. There is a well appointed loft as well so the main house sleeps 6 easily. In addition, there is a really nice screened in sitting room, as well as a screened in dining area so very spacious. Casa Marchele sits on a large property with large decks both off the back of the house both up and down (there is a lovely separate walk out apartment downstairs for rent as well) . Views are incredible and you can watch the cruise ships or diving boats or just enjoy the ocean surf. The Turtle Crossing community (which Casa Marchele is part of) has a really nice pool a very short walk away with views of the ocean and seating areas both in the shade and the sun. From the community you can easily walk 10 minutes to get into West Bay or if you have a car, it is a very short drive. West Bay has great little restaurants, shops, bars and the snorkeling off the beach is the best I have ever seen! Having traveled across the island we think this was the perfect spot to be in. It is very quiet and peaceful at night but a short distance to West Bay, and from West Bay you can take a water taxi or drive to West End which is teeming with bars and restaurants. Looking forward to coming back to this slice of paradise.
